Privacy Policy

This policy explains how The Exchange Lounge (“TEL”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal information when you use our mobile application, websites and related support services (the “Service”).

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide, including your name, username, email address, phone number, account identifier, support messages and information submitted through app forms. We also process subscription status, saved watchlists, forum activity, reports and other information required to provide app functions.

We may automatically receive limited technical information such as device or app version, operating system, network errors, timestamps, security events and diagnostic information. Market-data and news interactions may be processed to deliver requested content and maintain performance.

How we use information

• Authenticate accounts and maintain user profiles.
• Provide, synchronize and improve app features.
• Maintain watchlists, forum participation and subscription entitlements.
• Respond to support, correction and deletion requests.
• Detect misuse, protect accounts and troubleshoot failures.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations.

Authentication and passwords

Email-and-password authentication is provided through Google Firebase. TEL cannot view or recover your password. Password-reset requests are handled through Firebase’s secure account-management process.

Service providers and storage

Information may be processed by service providers supporting the Service, including Amazon Web Services for backend hosting, Google Firebase for authentication, MongoDB for application records, Google Sheets for registration administration, and app-distribution or payment providers when those services are enabled. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers acting on our behalf, when you direct us to do so, to protect users and the Service, or where disclosure is required by law. We do not publish your email address or phone number as part of your public forum identity.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information while the account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. Using the in-app deletion control removes the Firebase authentication account, TEL profile, watchlists and subscription records. Forum posts and comments may be retained in anonymized form with the username replaced so conversations remain understandable. Reports, security records, transaction records or administrative records may be retained where reasonably required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting or dispute resolution.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

The Service is intended for persons aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to the Service.

Your choices

You may request access, correction or deletion of applicable information by using available in-app controls or contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated in the app.
